The Dyness DL5.0F is a 5.12 kWh low-voltage LiFePO4 battery built for residential and light commercial solar storage — and it stands out on the two figures that actually determine what a battery costs you over its life: depth of discharge and cycle count. At 95% depth of discharge, it delivers 4.864 kWh of usable energy from a 5.12 kWh pack — noticeably more of the rated capacity than the 90% typical of the category. And it's rated for more than 8,000 cycles to 70% end-of-life at that same 95% DOD. Cycled daily, that's over two decades of service. Backed by a 10-year warranty. CTP (cell-to-pack) construction strips out the intermediate module housing, so the unit packs 5.12 kWh into a slim 146 mm profile that mounts flat against a wall without dominating a passage or plant room. It installs three ways — wall-mounted, floor-mounted, or racked in any standard 19-inch cabinet — so the same battery suits a single-unit home install or a multi-unit stack. Discharge runs at a full 1C — 100 A, or 5.12 kW continuous — with a 110 A peak. That means a single unit can carry a substantial household load on its own rather than needing a second battery just to meet peak demand. Systems scale to 50 units in parallel, up to 256 kWh. The operating range covers -20°C to 55°C for discharge, and an extended low-temperature charge range is available as an option for cold installations. Two optional extras are worth knowing about: a built-in aerosol fire extinguisher that suppresses a thermal event at source, and WiFi with app and web monitoring for remote visibility of state of charge, power flow and system health. Communication runs over CAN and RS485, with confirmed compatibility across SMA, Victron, Solis, GoodWe, Growatt, Solplanet, Luxpower, Deye, Sungrow and Ingeteam inverters.
