The BOS-G-Pack5.1 is the building block of Deye's BOS-G Pro commercial and industrial storage range — a 5.12 kWh LiFePO4 battery module in a standard 19-inch, 3U rack-mount format. Modules stack in series to build systems from 25.6 kWh up to 87 kWh, so the same component scales from a small office backup to a full C&I installation. LiFePO4 (LFP) chemistry is the reason this module suits commercial duty. It runs safer than nickel-based lithium chemistries, tolerates shallow charge and discharge cycling without degradation, has no memory effect, and self-discharges slowly enough to sit on a shelf for up to six months without a top-up charge. Rated for more than 6,000 cycles to 70% end-of-life at 90% depth of discharge, it's built for daily cycling over a decade rather than occasional backup duty. Each module delivers 51.2 V nominal at 100 Ah, with 100 A nominal charge and discharge current and a 120 A peak. An intelligent BMS manages charge and discharge state, balances current and voltage across every cell, and protects against over-discharge, over-charge, over-current and temperature extremes at both ends of the range. The wide operating envelope matters in South African conditions: discharge from -20°C to 55°C, charge from 0°C to 55°C, and operation at altitudes up to 3,000 m — comfortably covering Highveld installations. Communication runs over CAN2.0 and RS485, with USB and remote firmware upgrade support and compatibility with Deye inverters. Status is indicated at the module: yellow for high voltage power on, red for system alarm.
