The Photon GL-1000R is a 1000W portable power station built to keep essential equipment running when the grid doesn't. With a 999Wh battery and a pure sine wave inverter, it delivers clean, stable power suitable for sensitive electronics — laptops, routers, monitors, TVs, medical devices, CPAP machines, lighting and small appliances — through a standard South African wall socket. Its true UPS function switches over in under 10 milliseconds, fast enough that connected computers and network equipment keep running through a power cut without rebooting. Leave it plugged in and it doubles as a desk-side UPS; unplug it and it becomes a portable power source for camping, worksites, market stalls and outdoor events. Charging is quick and flexible. A 500W AC input takes the battery to 80% in roughly 1.5 hours and full in about 2.5 hours — far quicker than the 8–14 hours typical of comparable units. It also charges from a solar panel or from a 12V car socket, so it can be topped up entirely off-grid. Thirteen output ports cover just about anything you'd plug in: a 1000W AC socket, four 14V DC outputs, a cigarette lighter socket, five USB-A ports including two 18W QC3.0 fast-charge ports, and a 60W USB-C Power Delivery port that will charge a MacBook at full speed. A built-in smart Battery Management System guards against over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuit and temperature extremes.
